It's all about SELL APPEAL!

Merchandising
is the methods, practices, and operations used to promote and sustain certain categories of commercial activity. In the broadest sense, merchandising is any practice which contributes to the sale of products to a retail consumer. At a retail in-store level, merchandising refers to the variety of products available for sale and the display of those products in such a way that it stimulates interest and entices customers to make a purchase.

SO, New York is a wonderland full of sights/sounds and definitely inspires the soul. Being here really fills that missing part in life. As you all know, I center my world around fashion/beauty and of course LOVE! Anything fashion savvy, beautiful and made with love is gonna grab my attention. Walking around the city, you can see all that, by checking out everyday things, for example the presentations at the local dessert cafe, Japanese sushi restaurant and especially the local department stores/boutiques.

I shopped the Forever 21 in Times Square and loved the layout and all the visuals.

I really love the flow of this wall

I like the color story and order of this room

I've enjoyed doing floor sets/layout/walls as well, some of my work included here...
The walls were themed: CALIFORNIA HOT SPOTS
Haight/Ashbury [Hippie chic/tie-dye/idea of peace&love/funky colors]

Malibu [floral prints/sophisticated beachwear/posh but playful]
close up view of the other half of Malibu
Sunset strip: [Biker chicks/rocker girls/denim skirts/shorts, studs/embellishments]

Merchandising is the certainly the main focus in any store you enter. Whether you pay attention to the way the walls are set up or how the mannequins are dressed up. It all
goes back to merchandising. If we didn't have this wonderful principle then no one that went into any store would be impulsed to buy that super hot dress in the window of a store they would usually avoid or those lovely shoes that the mannequin wore that you absolutely had to have just cause they were displayed oh so nicely!

Isabel Marant S/S 2011 RTW

Isabel Marant S/S RTW 2011
I have been a huge fan of Isabel Marant for a while now.
I really love her eclectic styles and her sense of color is amazing!

The whole collection is something you'd spend your rent money for, lol, I'm really in love with the above look and I definitely would wear it anywhere. The styling is something I'd mimic with the tucked in tank and high belted skirt. The button up and boots bring it all together with the contrast of color.
Totally in love!

Check out her boutique here in NYC:
